Who knew in 2020 we would be scrambling to ensure our residents and volunteers stay safe & healthy, taking our membership and Board virtual to keep our organization running smoothly, hiring our first ever Executive Director and a new Residence Manager and managing all this during a global pandemic???
Join us online January 24th at 2pm for our special annual meeting highlighting our mission with messages from the Executive Director and Board President. Along with our featured speaker, Brunonia Barry, this is sure to be an engaging and entertaining event. For an additional fee, enjoy delicious food options from some wonderful Salem purveyors.
This year, since we cannot all gather together for a wonderful brunch or dinner, we are bringing the great food to you!
- Watch, vote and be a part of our virtual meeting at home!
- Enjoy delicious food options from participating restaurants & vendors!
- Enjoy our featured speaker with an opportunity to purchase books.
Your support, especially now, will help Woman’s Friend recover from a tough year and continue its mission to be a welcoming, thriving, historic home providing housing for women in Salem.
You can become a friend and donate now without getting involved in the organization if your time does not allow you to participate- don’t feel guilty. In our new brochure, we explain that a yearly donation of $25.00 , which is tax deductible can be made easily without the pressure of getting asked to contribute your time.
Valerie Peterson, member of the Needlework Comm. has just finished these sweaters for the Woman’s Friend Society to donate to Salem Hospital. Copies of the sweater pattern are available to everyone and can be picked up at the Emmerton House. If you are interested in learning how to knit, please contact Caroline Ouellette- our Needlework Chair person. With enough interest we can offer a class in the evening.
